Commissioned by the Chennai City Police for their Campaign for Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, POCSO, we designed the Identity and leaflets to be distributed to school children across Greater Chennai. The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 was enacted to provide a robust legal framework for the protection of children from offences of sexual abuse.
Our solution was to design a mascot, POCSO the tiger. The mascot is a key part of the logo, as children will connect with him. POCSO has been designed in line with the style of the Japanese art of Paper Folding, Origami, which allows us to explore other activities with the children at a later point, such as making their own POCSO.

The Leaflet
Designed to be interactive and keeping in mind that children
tend to throw away leaflets given to them, we designed a tear–off Book Mark on the Leaflet with POCSO on it. Lively and bright,
the Book Mark is something the children will want to keep and use.
The key information of the campaign, the Helpline details have been included on the Book Mark so the children will have access to them even if the main leaflet gets lost. It has been designed in both English and Tamil.
